Yves Deruyter started his DJ career in 1985 and played in famous Belgian clubs such as Globe, Barocci, Cherrymoon, Extreme, Carat, BBC, La Rocca and many more. In 1991 he started producing and his first single “Animals”, released on Bonzai Records, became a big club hit in Europe.

Yves’ second single “Rave City” made a leap into the German market and became a big success with more than 50.000 units sold and the follow up “Calling Earth” topped 70.000 units.   Then the track “The Rebel” was an international breakthrough for Yves, followed by “The House of House”, “In My Electric House” (Cherrymoon Trax) and many more. Yves’ awesome cover of Underworlds classic “Born Slippy” continues to be a hugely memorable track.

As a very hard working DJ, Yves Deruyter regularly travels Europe where he is in high demand for his DJ’ing skills. As a born entertainer, his vision of his future in music is and will always be making music for the people. The release of his Electro House oriented debut on Pig Room Trax, named Desert Storm, is awaited with much anticipation. With even more new material on the way Yves will be working on new solo tracks as well as cool fresh collabs.

This year Yves is celebrating his 30 years as a DJ in one of the best clubs of Belgium: La Rocca. On 23 May 2015 he will host this party with 30 DJ’s, each playing 30 minutes, giving away 30 CD’s, 30 free tickets, and 30 big kisses. With a lot of gusto Yves starts the next 30 years of his career.
