2014 saw a one-time collaboration between Adriaan Baussens aka Manu Riga and Matt Holliday develop into a full-blown DJ and production duo. Both artists bring their different expertise to the table, Manu, with his deep, dark and tribal ethnic flavours merges beautifully with Matt’s progressive trance, tech edged grooves. In just one month towards the end of 2014 these guys have notched up three stunning cuts that are soon to be released to destroy dancefloors all over. The deep and tribal fuelled You are Contagious and Roots are scheduled to be released first with the driving and energetic Silence In My Head soon following. On top of that they have developed a new radio show entitled Ethnoscience airing every first Saturday of the month at 10:00 CET on Progressive Beats, showcasing the very best from the progressive world.

Belgium based Manu Riga was formed in 2004 and has racked up a hugely impressive back catalogue. Over the last few years he has seen a multitude of superb cuts released on Bonzai Progressive including his debut Tai Chi Girl, which has been given a 2014 revamp alongside some superb remixes. He is also a much sought after remixer who pushes his workload to exhaustive heights, a challenge he has accepted and is currently fulfilling. He has worked with many top producers in the past and this is something that he continues to do. His dark progressive style is the perfect vehicle to incorporate tribal and ethnic influences. In recent times he decided to take a different course with his productions which has resulted in a much more aggressive style with driving beats and tougher basses, although he still retains those tribal elements which add so much character to his tracks. Big things are in the pipeline for 2015, well worth keeping an eye on.

Birmingham, UK DJ and producer Matt Holliday has established himself firmly within the underground scene in the last few years, he has released on top labels including JOOF, L*C*D, Discover and Go On Air. His style of producing covers progressive, trance and deep tech grooves and it was this that caught the eye of John 00 Fleming, who described him as a “great discovery”. In mid 2014 Matt was given the opportunity to remix a track for one of electronic music’s legendary artists, his remix of Airwave’s Moment Of Truth gained much support across the board and performed well on major download portals. His track Breakthrough featured on Paul Oakenfold’s DJ Box and saw support from Giuseppe Ottaviani and Stoneface & Terminal among others. A huge 2015 awaits with lots currently in progress, stay tuned for more.

Matt & Manu are ready, are you?
