Belgian artist Bjorn Wendelen aka DJ Ghost, has been the driving force behind several very successful projects such as Armani & Ghost (together with Chicago superstar Robert Armani), Q-IC & Ghost (Desire Go Higher, Complex, Fuck You, S.O.S.), D & G (We Love Friday, House Of House), The Moon (Blow Up The Speakers, Shake, In Your Mind) and his solo project DJ Ghost (Ghoststyle & his cover version from The First Rebirth).
Apart from DJing all over Belgium and the biggest and most known clubs, and hosting a radioshow on Rave FM, DJ Ghost has often been asked to grace remote venues with his guest performances. He is, for instance, one of the few Belgian DJs to have ever played in Down Town Chicago or Webster Hall in New York and heading alongside big international names at venues such as I Love Techno, Love Parade, Qlimax, Mayday, Defqon, Reverze, Innercity, Tomorrowland, Goliath World, Decibel, Q-Base and more.
He is a longstanding associate of the mighty Bonzai parties and has produced many tracks under the Bonzai imprint, he has worked with Laurent Veronnez/Airwave and Yves Deruyter on Body-Shock, Tijs Verwest aka Tiesto on the Bonzai Jumps project TB X-Press, Yuri Wesseling on Medicine Men, Malik Boudari on the Bonzai Trance Progressive group Dream System and many others.
Bjorn is another name that is always mentioned when people talk of the bustling, enigmatic Belgian rave/dance scene, there would be very few flyers that his name did not appear on. He has DJed with the cream of the crop including Fly, Phi Phi, Bountyhunter, Franky Jones, Youri and Georges to name just a few.
When asked about the style of music he plays, Bjorn refers to the nature of his sets as “acceptable techno” or simply “good music”.
Besides being a DJ, Bjorn is also the owner of 2 record labels, Ghoststyle and GS2 with releases by CJ Bolland, Maw Walder, Michael Forzza, Coone, Eric Sneo, Trent Easton, Teka B.
Whenever there is a party in town you will be sure to see the name DJ Ghost and his classic sound somewhere nearby.
Now with a new recipe for happiness, alter ego DJ Gho$t’s productions are received with great praise and resulted in several chartings from colleagues like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto, Laidback luke, Ummet Ozcan, to name a few.
Having an epic history in the scene with plays on every edition of Tomorrowland and playing all over the world, this musical chameleon will be in the electronic dance scene for years to come!!
