Extra Newsletter February 2014 – Spotlight on Quincy
SPOTLIGHT ON QUINCY
DJunkee welcomes Quincy to the roster
“Rhythm is fundamental to the spirit” – a saying that defines him in every fibre. Quincy started to make a reputation for himself in 1996, as one of the first DJs and event promoters to introduce Progressive House music in the Belgian club scene, which continued throughout the 00’s with the “Rebuilding Mondays” nights at the legendary Boccaccio.
With Soul Phonic (former duo studio project) several of his releases were signed on labels such as Coincidence Records, Silver Screen and of course his own imprint Punk’id Records.
Quincy ‘In Balance’
Currently Quincy has found the time to return to the studio, working on new sounds and productions. His debut on Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic ‘In Balance’ will be backed up with two outstanding remixes by Pole Folder & CP (Bedrock Records) and Airwave.
Great stuff and a definite must for the more upbeat Progressive sets. The digital release will be on 24th February 2014!
Age Of Love
Next to DJ’ing Quincy also promotes events such as Age Of Love, which has been a true success story since starting 6 years ago in Ghent. On the 1st of March there will be a special 6th Anniversary Edition: 6 Years Age Of Love XXXL, taking place in 3 rooms of the Artcube in Ghent.
